Getting started

Create a free account at sevit.id, then add the extensions to Chrome. Sevit Capture saves links and screenshots to your library. Sevit New Tab shows your pinned items, recent saves and collections on every new tab, with a search box for everything you've saved.

Saving a link

Open the page you want to keep, click the Sevit Capture icon and choose Save link. You can change the title and add a note first. The link is saved straight away; its preview image and details are added a moment later.

Capturing a page

In Sevit Capture, choose Capture screen for what you can see, Select area to drag a box around part of the page, or Capture full page to scroll through and join the whole page. Very long pages are scaled down to fit. Screenshots are stored as WebP.

Signing in

Sevit Capture signs in with your Sevit email and password. If you created your account with Google, first set a password on sevit.id under Account → Security. Sevit New Tab uses the Connect with Sevit button, which works for password and Google accounts alike.

Common problems

• “This page can't be saved”: Chrome doesn't let extensions work on its own pages, such as chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store. Open a regular http:// or https:// page.
• “Your Sevit session has ended”: connect again from the New Tab, or sign in again in Sevit Capture.
• No preview image: some sites don't allow one. The link is still saved.
• A screenshot didn't upload: check your connection and press Retry upload.
• No weather on the New Tab: set your city in the New Tab's Settings → Location.
